ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS:

​Lilibet Foster: Director and Producer

Lilibet Foster is an Academy Award® Nominated filmmaker and multiple award winning director, producer and writer of feature documentaries, television programs and integrated brand campaigns. She earned her Academy Award® Nomination for producing her feature documentary, "Speaking in Strings.”  Her previously produced film, “Soul in the Hole,” won the Independent Spirit®: Truer Than Fiction Award, and her critically acclaimed feature documentary, “Brotherhood: Life in the FDNY” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Her work includes, directing and producing shows for major broadcasters including HBO, Discovery, ESPN, O2 and A&E, as well as directing integrated media campaigns for brands such as Sony, Apple and Nike, represented by @radical.media. This is her fifth feature documentary and some of the additional major awards her work has earned her include, a Cine Golden Eagle; an IDA: International Documentary Association Nomination; Honorary Webby and iFilms Best of the Net Awards; selection in competition at the Sundance and Rotterdam Film Festivals; the Newport International and Paramount Studio’s WIN Film Festival Awards; as well as “Top Films of the Year” nods by “Premiere” and “Village Voice.” She is originally from the Virgin Islands and is a principal of her production company, Asphalt Films Entertainment, based in New York City.

Sam Maydew: Producer

Sam Maydew is a partner and co-founder of The Collective, a full service production/talent management company based in Los Angeles. As a producer Sam is responsible for developing and producing the Sony Classics cult hit,  “SLC Punk!”  Maydew also produced among other things, Katt Williams "American Hussle," "The Education of Charlie Banks" starring Jesse Eisenberg, "Daydream Nation" starring Katt Dennings and Josh Lucas and he just finished producing the upcoming film “Mall” based on Eric Bogosian's novel of the same name. Maydew clients Vincent D'Onofrio (writer/star) and Linkin Parks Joe Hahn directed “Mall” with Linkin Park handling all the music for the film. In addition to producing, Sam manages the careers of some of the industry’s most established and celebrated artists including Martin Lawrence, Emile Hirsch, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jai Courtney, Ioan Gruffudd, Evangeline Lilly, Eliza Dushku, Michael K. Williams, Josh Peck, Shenae Grimes, Joshua Leonard, Scott Wolf, Wilmer Valderrama and Chi McBride. Maydew also works with Linkin Park, and YouTube sensations Freddie W and Shane Dawson.

David Meneses: Editor
David Meneses is an award winning editor of numerous feature length and short documentaries, and television series.  His work includes the Emmy® nominated “Section 60: Arlington National Cemetery;” “A Woman Among Boys: A Brooklyn Basketball Story;” “Redemption” which was nominated for 2013 Academy Award® for Best Documentary Short; and he was the consulting editor of the Academy Award® Nominated short film, “China’s Unnatural Disaster: The Tears of Sichuan,” directed and produced by Jon Alpert and Matthew O’Neill.  He also edited the feature documentaries, “The First Season,” directed by Rudd Simmons and “The Undocumented,” directed by Marco Williams; as well as the short film “Public Farm 1: The Making of an Urban Farm,” 5 short branded entertainment films for “Unsung: A Life in the Day of Hard Work,” (Shell Rotella) and soon to be released feature documentary, “Be Here Now” (The Andy Whitfield Story), directed by Lilibet Foster (the 5th most successful Kickstarter documentary ever, with over 2.2 million viewers of the trailer, which he also edited).  Most recently, he was one of two editors on “The Hand That Feed,” Directed by Rachel Lears and Robin Blotnick which won the 2014 Full Frame Film Festival Audience Award and was selected as part of the Best of Fest encore screenings for AFI Docs (formerly Silver Docs). 





Deborah Kuleff: Co-Producer

Deborah Kuleff is an experienced Australian producer and production manager who has worked nationally and internationally on television, documentary and new media productions.  Her work includes producing the comedic documentary, “Mr. Firth Goes To Washington,” written by and starring Colin Firth, which received a Logie Nomination; the mini-documentary series, “Australia & Me,” for Australia’s ABC network; and the feature documentary, “Living The Dream,” about the origins of Quantas airlines.  Her television credits also include, “The Chasers War On Everything: Season 3” (ABC), “Road Trip Nation” (SBS), “A Chef's Xmas” (Lifestyle), “Aussie Postcards: Season 1” (ABC), and “StarSpace with Adam Saunders” (ABC Children's TV).
